Shipping & Returns

Support & Service Policy:

Prior to returning a product we recommend you contact our Customer Service Manager  for a Return Authorization Number (RA #).  An RA # allows us to route the package for faster turn-around. Processing for packages that arrive without an RA # will be delayed by up to 1 week.

Products that are still in warranty will be repaired or replaced if the product is deemed defective.

For products that are out of warranty our service technicians may recommend repairs and will prepare an estimate prior to work being completed.  All repair work comes with a 90-day warranty period.  Recon Outdoors prides itself in quality repairs using original parts to bring the cameras back to factory quality and includes a 90-day warranty.

Products returned to us are usually processed within 24 to 48 hours. Delays can occur if we have trouble determining the problem, or have payment or address issues. It is for these reasons that we want you to call us before sending a product.

If you feel your product requires service we recommend you first check the Troubleshooting pages in the User’s Manual to help you verify or solve the problem. If you still require help please call us at (866) 647-3266 during the hours of 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM CST Monday thru Friday. Additionally, you can contact us via our online contact form or emailing us directly at service@reconoutdoors.com.

Be aware that during the months of July thru December our phone lines can get very busy, so please leave a message for our Support Team and a CSR will return your call within a 24-hour period during our normal business hours.  If you leave a message on Friday or during the weekend your call will be returned on Monday.  Hanging up without leaving a message and calling back will lengthen the wait time.  Leaving multiple messages may produce multiple return calls.

If you need to ship a product back to us it is very important to follow these instructions:

  1. Remove the batteries, any accessories and SD card. Do not include them unless our Customer Service Manager request that you send them.
  2. Package the product very well with padding or newspaper – DO NOT THROW IT IN A BOX WITHOUT ANY PADDING.
  3. Make sure you put your name, address, phone, email and the RMA # inside the box – DO NOT FORGET THIS STEP.
  4. Address the package to:

            Attn: RA # (insert your RA # here. Failing to do so will delay processing by 2 or 3 days.)

When we receive your package we will send you an email, so you do not need to call to verify arrival. We will also send you an email when we ship your product back. If you do not provide us with an email address please allow 2 weeks for your product to arrive (4 days to get to us, 2 days for us, and 4 days to get it back to you). If we have any issues with your return we will call and/or email.
